Aurélien Viaccoz

Medical Monitor

Aurélien received his medical degree from Geneva University, Switzerland and completed his residency and fellowship training in Neurology, with a focus on autoimmune disorders (Multiple Sclerosis [MS] and rare diseases) and neuro-oncology. Prior to joining MAPS Europe, Aurélien worked with Roche, starting in Milano, Italy, as Medical Manager for ocrelizumab in MS. After a break travelling around the world, he moved to Basel, Switzerland, to re-join Roche where he supported Phase III trials for fenebrutinib in MS in adults, two pediatric plans and the development of an app aiming to measure disability progression in MS and served as Medical Monitor for the Primary Progressive MS trial.

At MAPS Europe, Aurélien is currently serving as a Medical Monitor, working on clinical trials for MDMA-assisted therapy.
Aurélien is thrilled and grateful to contribute within MAPS to the exciting endeavor of psychedelics revolutionary renaissance, sharing the company ethical values on community health and equitable access to meaningful therapies, partnering with people cultivating a strong humanistic vision.

Aurélien is based in Zürich, Switzerland, enjoying the nice mix between the city cultural vibe and the soothing nature, telemarking and cycling during his free time.
